Guwahati: Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma and his cabinet colleagues, along with several legislators from the ruling BJP-led coalition, ‘watched’The Kashmir Files‘ Together at a theater in Guwahati on Tuesday evening.

Assam PCC general secretary Apoorva Bhattacharjee said, “It is very unfortunate that after taking oath on the basis of the Constitution of India, the Assam government is promoting a film like ‘The Kashmir Files’. Any government promoting polarization oriented drama or cinema Can’t give.”
AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam alleged that promoting ‘The Kashmir Files’ is part of BJP’s ‘communal agenda’. Islam said, “I have learned that ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been framed in such a way that it shows that Muslims have persecuted Kashmiri Pandits.”
