Asked To Get His Own Food, Man Kills 11-year-old | Surat News – Times of India

SURAT: A man allegedly killed a 11-year-old after the boy’s parents, who had been feeding him lunch and dinner since he came to the city a year ago, asked him to arrange for his own food.
The incident came to light on Wednesday afternoon, following which police registered an offense against accused Shahbuddin Ansari, a 27-year-old native of Uttar Pradesh. The deceased was identified as Aayush, son of Ramanuj Gaud who lives in Bhagwatinagar Society in Pardi.
Police said, “Gaud, his wife and son live in a rented room. Gaud and his wife work as daily wagers in a local mill. A year ago, Ansari — who belongs to Gaud’s native village — came to Surat in search of a job and started living in the locality. Gaud invited him to have food with his family, but recently, found out that Ansari had a job and was stable. He then asked Ansari to arrange for his meals which triggered a dispute.”
On Wednesday after the Gauds left for work, the accused came to their home and hit the boy on the head with a hard object. The body was discovered when the parents came home in the afternoon and informed the police. Sachin police station conducted an investigation and registered an offense of murder against Ansari.
