Mumbai: The NCB on Monday claimed before a city court that “shocking and objectionable” material has been recovered in WhatsApp chats of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan and two others arrested in connection with the seizure of banned Was one of nine people who went. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which remanded Aryan Khan and eight other accused from the court till Thursday, also claimed that in a WhatsApp chat, they were discussing the payment methods to be made for the purchase (of drugs). and that multiple code names are being used. Aryan Khan’s lawyer claimed that no drugs were recovered from his client.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate RM Nerlikar, while extending the NCB remand of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha till October 7, observed that the investigation required their further interrogation which is of prime importance. The trio was produced in the court on Sunday after the end of their one-day custody given to the NCB.
Aryan Khan (23), Dhamecha and Merchant were arrested on Sunday evening and produced in a special holiday court on Sunday, from where they were remanded in NCB custody till Monday. He was arrested by the NCB after raiding the Goa-bound ship.
The judge also remanded six other accused, who were arrested in the case late Sunday night, to NCB custody till October 7 and were produced before the court on Monday.
The court, in its order, said that the investigation in the matter is of prime importance and considering this aspect, further appearance of the accused before the NCB is necessary.
The fact remains that the co-accused in the case were found to be in possession of intermediate drugs and were accompanied by three accused (Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha).
“The investigation is of paramount importance and the presence of the accused is necessary for a detailed investigation. It is useful for both the prosecution and the accused to prove his innocence,” the court said.
Six others Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Chadha, Mohk Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra, Vikrant Chhokar and a drug supplier from suburban Juhu (name not disclosed) were arrested later.
While remanding him to the NCB’s custody, the court said that prima facie a case was made out against him and hence he needed to be interrogated.
The NCB on Monday sought further custody of Aryan Khan, Merchant and Dhamecha till October 11, on the ground that the central agency had to unearth the nexus between drug consumers and suppliers, and make all the arrested accused face-to-face. And other suppliers of narcotics had to be caught. . However, the court extended his custody only till October 7.
Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, appearing for NCB, claimed before the court that the arrested accused, including Aryan Khan, had received objectionable material through WhatsApp chats with drug smugglers and suppliers.
Raids are going on now. NCB’s counsel argued that the shocking and objectionable material recovered in the WhatsApp chat of the accused reflects international drug trafficking.

The counsel argued that Aryan Khan had shown good conduct by not running away from the NCB officials when the raids were being conducted and they were allowed to search him. Maneshinde claimed that no drugs have been recovered from Aryan Khan.
The magistrate on Monday sought to know from the NCB how much narcotic substance has been recovered from each of the accused.
On this, ASG Anil Singh said that six grams of charas was recovered from the merchant, while five grams of ganja were recovered from Dhamecha.
All of these are considered “small amounts” under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).
We recovered five grams of MDMA (a stimulant drug) from the other accused. Ten grams of cocaine have been recovered from Vikrant Chhokar, 14 tablets of MDMA from Ishmeet Singh, four tablets of MDMA and 3 grams of cocaine from Gomeet Chopra and four tablets of MDMA from Nupur Satija. Singh told the court that no recovery was made from Mohak Jaiswal, but he had provided MDMA pills to Nupur Satija.
Singh said that while the sections under which the accused have been booked are bailable, the court will have to consider the purpose of the NDPS Act, which is to remove the menace of drug abuse from the society while hearing remand applications or granting bail. Is.
One cannot say that just because it is found in small quantities with him, he is entitled to bail. Nowadays, the use of drugs has become very common even for college going children. NCB’s counsel argued that the accused here are high profile individuals whom regular individuals consider as role models.
Maneshinde argued that his client Aryan Khan had been invited on a cruise with his friend Merchant and had not paid any money to board the ship.
Apart from his mobile phone, nothing objectionable has been recovered from Aryan Khan. His friend (businessman) was arrested because he had six grams of charas, but he has nothing to do with my client (Aryan Khan), Maneshinde said.
He also denied NCB’s claim that Aryan Khan had consumed drugs while living abroad. Maneshinde said that during the entire period of his (Aryan) stay abroad, he has not been involved in any smuggling, supply or distribution of drugs.
Aryan Khan, Dhamecha and Merchant on Sections 8(c) (production, manufacture, possession, sale or purchase of drugs), 20(b) (punishment for contravention of cannabis), 27 (punishment for consumption of any intoxicating substance) ) case has been registered. Drugs) read with section 35 of NDPS.
Under the Act, possession of up to one kg is termed as ‘small quantity’ of cannabis, while seizure of more than 20 kg is considered ‘commercial quantity’. For charas/hashish, the Act states that small quantities are up to 100 grams while commercial quantities are one kilo or more.
According to the NCB’s arrest memo, 13 grams of cocaine, five grams of MDMA, 21 grams of charas and 22 tablets of ecstasy and Rs 1.33 lakh in cash were recovered after the raid on the ship.
Advocate Tarak Syed, appearing for the accused merchant, argued that it is not clear as to the quantum of drugs allegedly recovered from each of the accused and the NCB was seeking custody only on the basis of certain chats recovered from WhatsApp.
NCB’s remand note is misleading. If only six grams of charas has been recovered from the trader, then why is he being charged for other confiscated narcotics. Two boys (Aryan Khan and Merchant) have been arrested only because they are high-profile individuals, ? Saeed protested.
The NCB, in its remand note against five others arrested on Sunday night, said that it has seized 2.5 grams of ecstasy, 54.3 grams of mephedrone (MD) and two grams of charas from them.
The court was told that the five arrested accused Ishmeet Chadha, Mohk Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chhokar have also been booked under Section 27A of the NDPS Act. This section deals with the financing of illegal traffic and punishment for harboring criminals.
