Aryan case: SIT may close probe into ‘extortion’ allegations – Times of India

A senior police officer said, “There is no official complaint of extortion. However, no one has come forward to withdraw the statement so far.”

Aryan was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2 in a drug case when he was about to board a cruise liner and was arrested the next day. He was released from Arthur Road Jail on 30 October.

One of the witnesses, Kiran Gosavi, was arrested by the Pune Police in October in a cheating case in Pune. his personal bodyguard, Prabhakar Sail, had submitted a complaint before the MRA Marg police station, alleging that he had heard gosavik Talking to Sam D’Souza about the money being demanded for his release in Aryan’s case. It is alleged that Gosavi wanted to contact Khan for extortion. He reportedly met a hotelier with the help of D’Souza, who had allegedly linked him to Dadlani, Khan’s manager. After receiving the application, the city police formed an SIT and started its investigation.
