The 2019 Vicky Kaushal starrer film is based on the surgical strikes against Pakistan after the 2016 Uri attack. It is estimated that the film earned around Rs 342 crore at the box office, making it one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

Vicky will play the lead role in this upcoming film of Meghna Gulzar. Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was the Chief of the Army Staff during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The film is based on his life.
Shershaah
Based on the life of Army Captain Vikram Batra, the film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles. Captain Vikram was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra after sacrificing his life trying to save a soldier in the 1999 Kargil War. This film was produced by Karan Johar.
