The hit song, featuring Allu Arjun, topped the music charts and was a popular choice for celebs to reels such as Disha Patni, Tiger Shroff, and even the cricketer David Warner. But do you know that Armaan calls ‘Butta Bomma’ his ‘best friend’. ETimes caught up with the singer after the release of his latest single, and while talking about his musical journey, he revealed how it helped him rediscover himself after being at a low stage in his career.
“I would say ‘Control’ was a big turning point for me. It changed a lot; it changed how people saw me as an artist as well. Plus, a song that changed a lot for me in my career Yes, that is ‘Butta Bomma'”, the singer admitted. After this, he remembers the phase of his career when he was being replaced by many Bollywood songs. “As an artist, it is not a very happy place. I was quite disappointed; Then I went to record ‘Butta Bomma’ and other South Indian songs. After a few months when ‘Butta Bomma’ released and became so much talked about as it is today, it gave me more strength.” He further added, “‘Butta Bomma’ and ‘Control’ ruled me as an artiste. did. I had lost faith because I felt that nothing was going right and I was at a lower stage. I feel like these two songs saved me.”
Armaan said, “I think both ‘Butta Bomma’ and ‘Control’ have been my best friends, who helped me in times when I was feeling very low as a person.”
Interestingly, Armaan won the Best Playback Singer award at the recently held South Awards for the Telugu song ‘Butta Bomma’. He also won the MTV Europe Music Award 2020 for his single ‘Control’ under ‘The Best India Act’.
