Tech giant Apple is reportedly planning to launch RealityOS for its upcoming augmented AR/VR mixed reality headset. According to a report in The Verge, RealityOS has appeared in a trademark filing that “has not been officially filed by Apple, but it is common for large companies to apply for a trademark under One-Off Company. “
RealityOS powered headsets will be able to offer a combination of VR and AR experiences, immersing users in virtual content as well as moving virtual elements into real-world environments. Trademark application is the latest proof that Apple The report mentions that it is on the verge of announcing the long-running headset. Earlier this month, the company’s board of directors reportedly tried out the wearable device, which is common practice before a public launch.

The AR headset is expected to sport a sleek design so that it is lightweight and comfortable for the wearer to carry around for long hours. Reports mention that the company may officially announce this new operating system for the headset during its annual worldwide developers conference (WWDCMeanwhile, Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will begin on June 6 for over 30 million Apple developers around the world. According to a recent report, Apple’s much-anticipated mixed-reality headset with VR and AR capabilities is in an advanced stage of development.
