Anupamaa to Premiere on Star Suvarna in Kannada

Actress Rupali Ganguly has shot to fame overnight after starring in the critically acclaimed serial Anupamaa. The drama has been a hit since the beginning and the audience remains glued to the TV screens. Anupama currently airs on the Hindi channel Star Plus. However, it seems that the popularity of soap operas has transcended all regional barriers. Now, Rupali Ganguly-starrer Anupamaa is going to be dubbed in Kannada soon. Television channel Star Suvarna shared the official promo video of Anupamaa on Instagram on 16 February.

The translated Kannada caption of the post read, “A housewife who has won the hearts of the entire nation, Anupama coming soon.” The short video clip begins with the same soundtrack playing in the background as Anupama aka Rupali Ganguly appears on the screen. She wears the signature yellow saree, and carries a handbag, with a gentle smile on her face.

Anupama’s viewers have left no stone unturned to express their excitement in the comments. “Finally” commented a user. “Super” took another quip. A third user said, “So excited to see Rupali Ganguly in Kannada.” The date and show time of the Kannada dub of Anupamaa is yet to be announced by the makers.

Anupama Shah, a Gujarati housewife, is the protagonist of the story. He is devoted to his family and is selfless. She lives in a joint family, raising three children together. However, even after meeting the constant demands of her family and in-laws, Anupama fails to get the respect she deserves. She is often put down by her family members, who scold her at every step for having an incomplete degree in education. Fed up with all the allegations, Anupama decides to live life on her own terms.

The Hindi serial also stars Gaurav Khanna, Madalsa Sharma, Nidhi Shah, Sudhanshu Pandey, Muskaan Bamne and Paras Kalnawat in important roles. Rupali Ganguly has become a household name through this serial, receiving accolades for her remarkable performance.
