veteran bollywood actors Anupam Kher Cadets of the Russian Army School shared a video of them singing the patriotic song ‘Ae Watan’ from the cult classic 1965 film ‘Martyr’ at the morning school prayer on Sunday. The ‘Saaransh’ actor shared a video on his Instagram handle, which shows teachers and students of a Russian army school wearing their uniforms as they sing along to the original song playing in the background. The delightful video garnered over a million views within minutes of being posted on Instagram.

Anupam captioned the post, “This song from the movie #Shaheed was my all time favorite patriotic song. Thrilled and proud to hear this song being sung by Russian army school cadets as an early morning school assembly prayer! ! Jai Ho & Jai Hind !! @indianarmy.adgpi #ManojKumar #BhagatSingh #Deshbhakti Geet”.

Produced by Kewal Kashyap, ‘Ae Watan’ from the cult classic patriotic film ‘Shaheed’ directed by S Ram Sharma. It stars Manoj Kumar, Kamini Kaushal and Pran in lead roles. Iftekhar, Nirupa Roy, Prem Chopra, Madan Puri and Anwar Hussain are in supporting roles.

It is based on the life of revolutionary and freedom fighter Bhagat Singh (played by Manoj Kumar). The music was composed by Prem Dhawan, with several songs originally penned by freedom fighter Ram Prasad Bismil. ‘Shaheed’ was Manoj Kumar’s first series of patriotic films, followed by the likes of Upkar (1967), Purab Aur Paschim (1970) and Kranti (1981).

Meanwhile, Anupam Kher on Friday explained to his fans why he shuts down the world at times.

“Please don’t try to fix me. Please understand that like everyone else I get sad sometimes. So sometimes I shut the world off and just let it come back when I feel better !” Kher posted on Instagram.

The actor’s post on grief came a day after he spoke about the shocking and alleged suicide of a young line producer from his upcoming film “The Kashmir Files”.
