Ankit Gupta Opens Up On Casting Couch Experience, Recalls When He Was Asked To ‘Compromise’

Television actor Ankit Gupta talks about his shocking casting couch experience. In a recent interview, the Bigg Boss 16 fame talked about the same and recalled what happened when she was asked to ‘compromise’. Ankit also revealed how he was told that many big personalities have been launched in the showbiz industry in the same way.

“A compromise has to be made here. Many people, who wanted me to compromise, used to say, ‘Look Ankit Aise toh kaam milata nahi hai in the industry. We have launched many people’. He used to name bigwigs, saying that celebs were launched by him,” Ankit was quoted as saying by Pinkvilla.

“I said no—I’m not into boys and even if I was, I couldn’t do it. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Well, that’s being adult now. Somebody said, ‘Well, you But at least let me touch it. It’s from above. I was shocked and said to myself ‘What’s happening?’,” the actor said.

On the work front, Ankit Gupta was recently seen in Bigg Boss 16 where his chemistry and friendship with Priyanka Chahar Chowdhary was loved by all. Ankit, who was quiet and silent during his stint on the show, was repeatedly asked to step up his game. Even Bigg Boss himself taunted him by calling him ‘lazy’. While this left Gupta’s fans upset, Ankit later told News18’s Shosha that she took it as a ‘fun joke’ with Bigg Boss. “I don’t know if I was mocked. We all knew that Bigg Boss would play the game this season. I think Bigg Boss talks to everyone by looking at their personality. My one-liners were famous and so did Bigg Boss. The boss also had several one-liners for me. I don’t think I was made fun of. It was a funny joke,” he told us.

Ankit Gupta will next be seen in Junooniyat, in which he will share the screen with his Bigg Boss co-contestant Gautam Vig.
