In Latehar, Jharkhand, the police have caught a truck with a big racket of cattle smuggling. Many pets stuffed in the truck were being sent from Jashpur in Chhattisgarh to Dehri on Son in Bihar.

Along with arresting two people in this case, the police have seized a truck full of animals. An FIR was registered against Tinku Khan and Arif, residents of Lohardaga, for smuggling cattle. Police is investigating the entire racket and taking further action. It has been found in the investigation that all these pets were to be sent from Jashpur in Chhattisgarh to Bihar.

Barwadih police station in-charge Srinivas Kumar Singh along with his police team raided Kutmu at around 3.30 am on Monday. A truck laden with animals was seized from here. The station in-charge said that secret information was received that the animal was being smuggled in the truck illegally. In this, a truck with the number plate of Uttar Pradesh was seized. During the raid, documents were demanded from the driver. He didn’t have any papers. After this, the driver and the helper along with the truck were brought to the police station.

A total of 30 buffaloes were filled in the truck: SHO
Driver Sunil Kumar and Khalasi Naeem Ansari, who were found accused in the racket case, have been sent to jail. The station in-charge said that a total of 30 buffaloes were filled in the truck. The investigation also revealed that the business of sending animals from Chhattisgarh to Bihar via Jharkhand was going on for a long time.

Rescued animals sent for maintenance
Eight people have been assigned the responsibility of maintaining all the animals caught during the raids. Efforts are on to find out how all these animals were collected from Chhattisgarh. So that more such smugglers can be caught.
