Mumbai: Actor Deepika Padukone recently made India proud by being one of the presenters at Oscars 2023. On Monday, he took a stroll down memory lane and shared pictures of his BTS moments from the Oscars.
Sharing the post on Instagram, Deepika captioned it as, “And the rest is history… #Oscars.”
In the pictures, Deepika can be seen backstage in her beautiful black gown preparing for her speech. Soon after she dropped the pictures, fans swarmed the comments section with red hearts and fire emoticons.
One fan commented, “So proud of you.”

Deepika took to the Oscars stage alone and belted out the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from RRR just before the live performance. Talking about the song, she said, “An insanely catchy chorus, electrifying beats and killer dance moves to match have made the song a global sensation. It’s a film about real-life friendship between ‘RRR ‘ plays during a crucial scene in Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
Apart from being sung in Telugu and reflecting the film’s anti-colonial themes, it’s also a whole lot bang! Has audiences dancing in theaters across the globe and is the first ever song from an Indian production to be nominated for an Oscar. Do you know Natu? Because if you don’t you are about to. This is Naatu Naatu from the movie RRR.”
Deepika looked drop dead gorgeous in an all-black off-shoulder velvet gown. She had made a bun of her hair and kept the make-up normal. She accessorised her look with a yellow diamond drop necklace.
RRR’s hit track ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the Golden Trophy for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika will next be seen in pan-India action thriller ‘Project K’ opposite actor Prabhas and director Siddharth Anand’s next aerial action thriller film ‘Fighter’ opposite Hrithik Roshan.
