In her complaint, Dutee alleged that Raut accused her of doing “objectionable acts” instead of focusing on her Olympic performance. She alleged that Raut had demanded extortion from her for not publishing the news. Pradhan had reportedly made a social media post that Dutee was wasting money from the government’s coffers in Tokyo.
“I represented the country in the Tokyo Olympics. My false and obscene portrayals on news websites and social media have tarnished my image. I have also filed a defamation suit against the editor of the news portal,” Dutee said.
Raut and Pradhan were not immediately available for comment. Police said Pradhan would be questioned as his name was there in the FIR.
