Mumbai: Filmmaker James Wan shared a picture on his social media teasing fans about the first day of filming of Aquaman 2. Wan shared a photo from the set of the DC film titled ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’. The upcoming DC Universe film stars Jason Momoa and Amber Heard in the lead roles.
Well, DC Films fans would normally rejoice over this update, however, this time fans are furious about the fact that Amber Heard is still in the midst of an ongoing legal battle with her ex-husband Johnny Depp. are in.
James Wan shared a picture of the clapperboard from the set and wrote, “One day. #Aquaman2”.
This did not go down well with the netizens and they took to Twitter to boycott the film and started trending #JusticeForJohnnyDepp on the microblogging site. Twitter slammed the studio for casting Amber Heard after it allegedly admitted to killing the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor. Heard also reportedly accused Johnny Depp of killing her during their wedding.

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp decided to leave the Warner Bros. franchise film “Fantastic Beasts 3” after he lost his legal battle with British tabloid The Sun, which dubbed him a “wife-beater”. Mads Mikkelsen has now played her part in the film.
