Amber Heard Says She ‘Still In Love’ For Johnny Depp: ‘I Love Him And Have Known I’ll Toward Him’

Amber Heard fears a potential re-prosecution by her ex-husband Johnny Depp – even as she admits to still in love with him. This was revealed in the second part of Heard’s exclusive interview with NBC News’ Savannah Guthrie, Heard’s first since the high-profile defamation lawsuit between him and Depp.

The actress said “absolutely” when Guthrie asked her if, after all, as she said in court during their defamation trial, she still “has love” for Depp.

“I love him. I loved him with all my heart,” Heard said. “And I tried everything I could to make a deeply broken relationship work and I couldn’t.”

“I don’t have any bad feelings or ill-will towards him,” he said. “I know it can be hard to understand or easy to understand if you’ve ever loved someone.”

In a portion of the interview aired Tuesday, Heard said he believed “the majority of this trial was run on social media” and spoke of the vitriol directed at him by Depp’s supporters.

When Guthrie asked Heard about a text in which Depp promised a “total global disgrace” for her, she reflected more on the public’s perception of herself in Wednesday’s segment.

“I’m not a good victim, I get it,” she said. “I’m not a likable victim, I’m not a perfect victim. But when I testified I asked the jury to see me and hear their own words which promised to do so.”

Depp sues Heard for $50 million, alleging he defamed her in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed she wrote about her experience with domestic violence, though not mentioned by name was.

She countered him for $100 million and they were both found liable for defamation, although the jury found Depp significantly more harmed.

Hurd told Guthrie that she “had the right to speak whatever I thought was right” and is now too terrified to speak. “I fear that no matter what I say or how I say, whatever steps I take will present another opportunity for such silence,” Hurd said in response to Guthrie. That Depp could sue him again in the future. “I think the defamation suit is meant to do that—to raise your voice.”

As far as the future of the “Aquaman” star is concerned, she said she can now focus on becoming a full-time mother to her one-year-old daughter.
