If the weather permits, the Amarnath Yatra is set to resume from tomorrow. The journey was postponed for five days. Officials said that a batch of passengers will leave from the base camp in Panjtarni area of ​​South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Sunday airlifted 34 injured pilgrims to the hospital from the medical facility at the Amarnath Yatra base camp.

“An additional 34 injured pilgrims were evacuated on Sunday by Mi-17 V5 and Cheetal helicopters of the Indian Air Force,” a defense spokesperson said here.

At least 15 people were killed and over 30 missing in flash floods triggered by heavy rains on Friday near the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas.
