Once again allegation of gang rape of minors in the state. This time the incident is from Shaldaha area of Rashidabad Gram Panchayat of Maldar Harishchandrapur police station area. A 13-year-old girl was picked up from the fair and five youths were accused of gang rape. Police claimed that two accused have been arrested.
According to the victim’s family, the minor had gone to the Urush fair in Shaldah village on Friday afternoon. Family members were with him. She goes to the next field for defecation at 12 o’clock in the night. The accused then grabbed her mouth and fled on a motorcycle. They then gang-raped the minor in a secluded house near the local Chandipur High School. The accused absconded after the minor fell unconscious after continuous rape.
As soon as the news was received, the family members came and rescued the minor and admitted him to the hospital. The minor’s mother has lodged a complaint at Harishchandrapur police station on Saturday. The minor’s medical has been done. After receiving the complaint, the police started the search. In the afternoon, the district police informed that they have arrested two accused. With this, 2 minors were raped in Malda in 1 week.
