The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also shared the video on their official social media handles. “The video campaign aims to connect with the emotions around the world with ‘Navarsa’ which symbolizes the nine emotions that fans experience during a match,” the ICC said.

“The first match of the World Cup tournament will begin on October 5 and conclude on November 19 this year,” said the official announcement.

Shahrukh Khan seen in the video

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, popular cricketers like South Africa’s JP Duminy, India’s young talent Shubman Gill, Dinesh Karthik and former England World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan, Muttiah Muralitharan, Jonty Rhodes and Jemimah Rodrigues feature in the ad campaign.

Video targets fans’ emotions

The video showcases all the memorable moments from World Cup history. The aim of the video is to show the raw emotion of both the fans and the players that they experience in the one-day format. The nine ‘navarasas’ are suffering, bravery, pride, joy, passion, power, pride, honor and wonder – and learn how it takes a day to experience this rollercoaster.
