It was earlier reported that an under-construction bridge over the Chalathi river in Champawat was washed away due to the rise in water level.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have been apprised of the current situation in the state.
