Alia Bhatt Undoubtedly one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood, he has always proved his mettle with his stellar performances across various genres. His impeccable performance did not go unnoticed by the jury of Filmfare. The actress won the Filmfare Best Actor (Female) for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. She took to her Instagram to share a series of photos from the night and penned a heartfelt note after receiving the honor.
Alia feels eternally grateful, as she wrote, “The day we shot Gangubai Kathiawadi, with trembling hands and a heavy heart, I remember telling my amazing crew.” Sanjay sir’s – this is my blockbuster. I left that set a different person – and it was only because of this amazing team!”
The caption further read, “Gangu..my darling..my alter ego, yours Sanjay Sir. Thank you for believing in me so that I can believe in myself. I will always be in your debt! I always said Is.” You make the world believe in magic – and if I can be half as hardworking, half as dedicated and inspired as you on this journey – I will consider myself very lucky! This is not the first time Alia is winning the Best Actress award, she has previously won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Critics) for Highway, and three more for her performances in Udta Punjab, Raazi and Gully Boy. Has won the Best Actress Award.
