The entertainment industry is ecstatic with the news of the opening of theaters across the country, and the team ‘Sooryavanshi’ starring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh is all set to welcome you again.
The much awaited action entertainer ‘Sooryavanshi’ is all set to hit the theaters on November 5.
Akshay confirmed the news by sharing a video on his Twitter handle in which the superstar trio can be seen giving a respite from the cinematic experience.
He tweeted along with the video, “Antaal hua khatam, now it’s show time! #Sooryavanshi releasing this Diwali, 5th November at your nearest cinema hall. Let’s celebrate with us. #BackToCinemas.”
Director Rohit Shetty had earlier teased that ‘Sooryavanshi’ which also stars Katrina Kaif will release this Diwali (November 4), but the exact date was not confirmed at that time.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had announced in September that all cinema halls and cinemas in the state would be allowed to reopen after October 22.
The release of the cop drama was the subject of speculation for the past one year. It was originally scheduled to release on March 24 last year, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the closure of cinema halls.
‘Sooryavanshi’ is a continuation of the cop action ‘Singham’ universe, which started with Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Singham’ and ‘Singham Returns’, then expanded with Ranveer Singh and Devgn starrer ‘Simmba’, and now moving ahead Akshay’s character
In ‘Sooryavanshi’, Akshay will be seen playing the role of a DSP who fights crime. Katrina will play the role of Akshay’s girlfriend in the film.
The film will also have special cameos from Ajay Devgn (Singham) and Ranveer Singh (Simmba).
