Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan will make guest appearances on The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS) this Sunday. Sony TV has shared a promo of the same episode. In a video clip shared on social media, Akshay is seen teasing comedian Krushna Abhishek about his strained relationship with his uncle and actor Govinda.
Akshay and Sara will grace the sets of TKSS with director Aanand L Rai to promote their upcoming film Atrangi Re.
In a promo released by Sony TV, Akshay is seen making a reference to the caricature done by Krishna. Krishna often imitates Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Mithun Chakraborty and other stars. Describing these references, Akshay said, “Kabhi fake Amitabh ji banta hai, kabhi fake Jackie. Sab fake. But mama se panga real liya hai (Sometimes you become fake Amitabh ji and sometimes fake Jackie. Everything is fake) But your fight with uncle is real.) Krishna tries to maintain a poker face at this and Sara laughs.
Akshay was referring to the strained relationship between Krishna and Govinda as their families have reportedly not seen each other since 2016. Earlier this year, Krishna picked an episode of TKSS in which Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja made guest appearances.
In the show, Krishna is primarily playing the character of ‘Sapna’, who runs a beauty parlor. Sharing the promo, Sony TV has said that the episode of Atrangi Re Stars will be aired on TV on Sunday.
Atrangi Re stars Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles. Sara plays the character of Rinku Suryavanshi, a spirited young woman who is in love with both Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. Atrangi Re is a cross-cultural love story set in Bihar and Madurai based on this love triangle. Atrangi Re will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from December 24.
