Aishwarya Rai and Trisha Ponniyin turned heads in white at the Mumbai promotions of Selvan 2. The Mani Ratnam film is scheduled to hit the theaters on April 28.
Ponniyin Selvan 2 is one of the most awaited movies. After the release of the teaser, the audience is eagerly waiting for its second part. The film stars Vikram, Jayaram Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Trisha. Well, the pre-release promotions have started and are going on in full swing. The team has reached Mumbai and Aishwarya was spotted in a gorgeous white outfit.
She looked drop dead gorgeous in a white heavily embroidered Anarkali suit. She opted for minimal makeup and sported her signature hairstyle. During this, her co-star Trisha was seen wearing a saree of matching colour. The Tamil actress stole everyone’s heart while posing for the camera. Shobhita Dhulipala was also seen for the promotion. She chose a golden colored ethnic wear and was looking beautiful.

On Sunday, Aishwarya was spotted at the Mumbai airport with daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. Mother-daughter were looking cool in casuals. He was seen returning from a promotional activity for the film Mani Ratnam in Hyderabad.
The two-part Ponniyin Selvan follows the early days of Arulmozhivarman (Jayam Ravi), one of the most powerful kings of the South, who went on to become the great Chola emperor Rajaraja Chola I. Note, Ponniyin Selvan I was appreciated by the audience. It also stars Vikram, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Sobhita Dhulipala.
Trisha said at a recent press conference, “Part one was the introduction of every character. Part two is when the story really begins. If you thought the women in part one were very powerful and empowered, this Part two will be a notch higher.
Ponniyin Selvan II will release in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. This historical epic is adapted from Kalki Krishnamurthy’s widely acclaimed novel Ponniyin Selvan (The Son of Ponni). AR Rahman, Sreekar Prasad and Ravi Varman are among the technical crew working on the film as music composer, editor and cinematographer respectively. The next part of the film is scheduled to hit the theaters on 28 April.
