AR Rahman cheers Natu Natu ahead of Oscars 2023.

Ahead of the ceremony, AR Rahman reacts to RRR’s Natu Natu Oscar nomination. Naatu Naatu has been nominated for Best Original Song at the 2023 Academy Awards.

While everyone is expecting RRR’s Naatu Naatu to win the Oscars 2023, AR Rahman has now said that he not only wants to grab the 95th Academy Award but also a Grammy in future. During a recent interaction with news agency ANI, Rahman exuded excitement for Natu Natu and shared that the song’s win will ‘lift India up’.

He said, “I want Natu-Natu to win awards, I want them to win Grammys too because any award for any one of us will lift India up and our culture will become more concentrated.”

Even when Natu Natu’s nomination for Oscars 2023 was announced earlier this year, Rahman told News18, “It is not easy to move beyond this prejudice. He has done a tremendous job. It happened, it is a great achievement. People are not apologetic for dancing to Telugu/Indian beats. This should happen again and again in every industry. It will be wonderful when we become leaders. MM Keeravani is an underrated musician. I tell my kids that he has been working for 35 years and wants to quit. Then his career started. I want RRR to win the Oscars.”

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr NTR are also currently promoting their film in the US. Natu Natu will also be performed at the prestigious 95th Academy Awards to be held on March 12 (March 13 in India). Marking his Oscar debut, Natu Natu singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaal Bhairav will perform the song on stage. The prestigious event will take place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
