AAP will contest all 230 seats in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections to be held later this year. To play “destructive politics”.

AAP’s organizing general secretary Sandeep Pathak cited the party’s performance in the recent local body polls in MP and said it would form the next government. “We will field candidates in all assembly constituencies and fight the polls with full force,” Pathak told reporters here.

The 2018 assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh led to a hung assembly, in which the Congress emerged as the single largest party with 114 seats in the 230-member house, but failed to secure a majority. BJP had won 109 seats.

The Congress later formed a coalition government under the leadership of Kamal Nath. However, the defections of several Congress MLAs to the BJP in March 2020 paved the way for the saffron party to return to power.

Asked whether there is little time for AAP to expand its footprint in MP as the Kejriwal-led party does not have an executive committee following its recent disbandment, he said the committee would be constituted soon.

Announcing the launch of a membership drive for the party in MP, the AAP leader said, “Since the strength of our leaders and workers has increased manifold in MP, we have decided to appoint our state executive committee to expand it and add new faces.” Disbanded for.”

“People contest elections. Our party has become quadruple stronger day by day, as seen last year when we won the mayor’s election during the municipal elections in MP. At many places our corporators came out with flying colours,” he claimed.

The elections to the local bodies have given a loud and clear message to both the parties (BJP and the opposition Congress).

We are going to form the next government in MP. We have 2,000 to 2,500 councilors in the country.”

The Rajya Sabha MP also said that ‘destructive and dirty politics’ is being replaced by ‘constructive politics’ India With the rise of AAP under the leadership of Kejriwal.

He said AAP has rapidly emerged as an alternative political force in the country and has become a national party in just ten years by forming governments in Delhi and Punjab and performing impressively in Gujarat.

In the Gujarat assembly elections held last December, AAP contested on 180 seats, out of which it won 5. The BJP retained power for the seventh consecutive term by winning a record 156 seats in the 182-member House.

“Now people have a strong alternative in you who is dedicated to their upliftment and welfare,” Pathak said.

He alleged that the Congress and the BJP were “indulging in the destructive politics of power while AAP has built hospitals and schools”.

“These two things (hospital services and schooling) are free even in developed countries,” the AAP leader said.

Asked whether the AAP was promoting “freebie” culture at the cost of fiscal prudence and burning a hole in the exchequer, Pathak said, “What is wrong in giving people their money back through welfare schemes?” ?” He said that there is Delhi Govt. In advantage as it ended the corruption which was eating away at the exchequer.

Hitting out at the Congress, Pathak said the grand old party forms a “strategic alliance” with the BJP before elections, and later sells its MLAs. “It means voting for Congress means voting for BJP.”

He alleged that BJP’s agenda is to grab and retain power by any means and to fulfill that objective the saffron party buys MLAs and indulges in horse-trading.

“On the contrary, AAP builds hospitals and schools and provides free services to people with zero tolerance towards corruption,” Pathak said.
