Bhagwant Mann will take oath as CM tomorrow in Khatkar Kalan.

The ministers of the new Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab will take oath on March 19. Bhagwant Mann is taking oath as Chief Minister tomorrow at Khatkar Kalan. However, the swearing-in ceremony of the ministers will be held at the Raj Bhavan itself. All 117 MLAs will be administered oath on March 17. Meanwhile, the Punjab government has ordered 57 former ministers and MLAs to vacate the flats and bungalows they got by March 26. If not vacated on time, then they will have to pay manifold rent.

First 6 ministers can take oath
If sources are to be believed, so far there is news of swearing in 6 ministers on March 19. These include Harpal Cheema, Aman Arora, Prof. The names of Baljinder Kaur, Neena Mittal and Budhram are included. Apart from this, the name of Kultar Sandhwa is also being mentioned in it. However, the final list of names of ministers will be sent to Raj Bhavan on March 18. Once the government starts functioning, then the cabinet will be expanded.

Bungalows and flats with 17 former ministers and 40 former MLAs
Bungalows are allotted to the ministers by the Punjab government. There were 17 ministers in the Channi government, who were allotted bungalows. Now that the Congress is out of power, the ministers have been given 15 days after the result as per the rules. Among them, Chief Minister Charanjit Channi has vacated the Chief Minister’s residence as soon as the election results are out. At the same time, the names of former CM Parkash Singh Badal, Bikram Majithia and Navjot Sidhu are also included in the flat MLAs. After vacating the bungalows and flats from them, they will be given to the new ministers and MLAs.
