Foods with a high glycemic index and that are processed: The hormone imbalance can quickly raise insulin and blood sugar levels, worsening PCOD symptoms. Eliminate foods such as white bread, rice, pasta, sweetened beverages and pastries from your diet.
Dairy Items: Avoid seed oil. Choose fruit-based oils – olive, coconut or avocado. Saturated fats, which are abundant in dairy products such as milk, cheese and butter, can worsen PCOD symptoms by increasing systemic inflammation. Consider substituting vegan cheese and dairy-free products like almond or coconut milk. Saturated fats like butter, ghee are also good in moderation.
