On the other hand, BJP candidate Ketki Singh from Ballia’s Bansdih had a clash and scuffle outside the booth between SP-SubhSP supporters. The dispute arose over the conduct of fake voting. This created a stampede-like situation there. Leader of Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary is contesting from here. Now the last seventh phase of elections in UP is to be held on March 7. In this, voting is to be held in 54 seats.

CM Yogi’s exam in Gorakhpur
The battle of the sixth and seventh stages is quite interesting. There are three reasons for this. First, now a total of 111 seats are left on which voting is to be held. That is, the more seats he wins, the more sure he reaches Lucknow. In such a situation, all the parties have given full strength.

Second, for the first time after 18 years, a Chief Minister is contesting an assembly election. Yogi himself is in the fray from Gorakhpur city seat. Earlier, Mulayam Singh had contested the elections as CM. Third, in the districts where voting is going on in this phase, except Ambedkar Nagar, the rest of the districts are considered to be areas of Yogi’s influence. That is, in Mahant Yogi’s Gorakhpur, CM Yogi’s exam is held.

BJP won 46 seats in 2017

In the 2017 election, out of these 57 seats, the BJP had won 46. Then Yogi was not the face of CM post? He was not even contesting the assembly elections. In such a situation, this phase is being considered very important not only for the reputation of CM Yogi, but also for his political future. At the same time, if we talk about 2012, then SP had got 32 seats. At the same time, BJP got 8, Congress 5, NCP 1 and Peace Party got 2 seats. At the same time, in 2007, BSP won 21, SP 19, BJP 10, Congress 5 and other parties won two seats.

the maze of ethnic mobilization
These seats of Purvanchal are such a maze of caste mobilization, which is not easy to break. There are small parties like SubhaSP, Nishad Dal, Apna Dal (S), Apna Dal (Communist), Peace Party, who are holding hands of BJP-SP. These parties are claiming to get votes of their castes. Dalit, OBC and Brahmin voters are the deciding factor in the sixth phase.

Dalit voters are around 22% to 25% in these 57 seats. At the same time, Yadav community is the largest among OBCs. It is followed by Kurmi, Nishad, Rajbhar and Chauhan voters. There is also an influence of Brahmin voters from Deoria to Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Ballia and Gorakhpur.

Not only this, due to Muslim-Yadav and caste factionalism, there is a triangular contest in many seats. On the other hand, along with cultivating castes, BJP is vigorously promoting schemes like free ration, home to the poor. This is also the reason that the number of people taking benefits of government schemes in these areas is more than in West and Oudh. CM Yogi is constantly saying in his rallies that if the government is formed, then the distribution of free food grains will continue.

4 seats, on which everyone’s eyes

1- Yogi VS Shukla in Gorakhpur
Gorakhpur Sadar is the hottest seat. CM Yogi himself is contesting from here. He is pitted against Subhavati Shukla of SP. Subhavati, who had been the regional president of the BJP, Mr. Upendra is the wife of Shukla. At the same time, BSP has given ticket to Khwaja Shamshuddin and Congress has given ticket to Chetna Pandey, who was the president of Gorakhpur University. Chandrashekhar of Azad Samaj Party is also pitching against Yogi. There are 9 seats in Gorakhpur district, out of which 8 seats were won by BJP last time.

2- Who is the owner of Fazilnagar?
Swami Prasad Maurya, who joined the SP after resigning from the post of BJP minister from Fazilnagar of Kushinagar, is contesting the elections. The BJP has fielded Surendra Kushwaha in front of him. BSP has made Ilyas and Congress Sunil Manoj Singh as the candidate. Maurya’s convoy was attacked here two days ago. Due to this this seat came under discussion in the entire state. BJP candidate Ganga Singh Kushwaha won this seat last time.

3- State President of Congress in Tamkuhiraj
The reputation of Congress state president Ajay Kumar Lallu is at stake in Tamkuhiraj of Kushinagar. He is pitted against Asim Kumar of BJP. Last time also Ajay Lallu had won this seat. SP has fielded Uday Narayan and BSP has fielded Sanjay. This seat is very important for the Congress.

4-Reputation of two giants in Etawah
Basic Education Minister Dr. Satish Chandra Dwivedi and former SP Speaker Mata Prasad are face to face in Etawa seat of Siddharthnagar. This seat remains a question of nose for both the parties. At the same time, BJP rebel Harishankar Singh is in the fray on a BSP ticket. Congress has given ticket to Arshad Khurshid. Harishankar, BJP and Arshad are spoiling the equation of SP. Last time also Dr. Satish Chandra Dwivedi had won this seat.
