- Prime Minister’s Address Tonight From Red Fort, There Will Also Be A Light And Sound Show

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Delhi’s Red Fort at around 9.15 pm on Thursday. He attended the 400th Prakash Parv celebrations of Guru Tegh Bahadur. In a while he will issue coins and postage stamps. He will also address the gathering here. However, this address will not be from the Red Fort’s ramparts but from the lawns.
According to the statement of the PMO, this program is being done in collaboration with the Central Government and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. Ragis (Sikh musicians) and children from different parts of the country are participating in Shabad Kirtan, which runs from April 20 to 21. There will also be a grand light and sound show depicting the life of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Apart from this, Gatka, a traditional martial art of Sikhs, will also be organized.
Aurangzeb ordered the execution of Guru Tegh Bahadur.
The program focuses on the teachings of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur. He sacrificed his life for the defense of religion and human values, ideals and principles in world history. In 1675, Aurangzeb ordered the execution of Guru Tegh Bahadur from the Red Fort. For this reason, the Red Fort has been chosen for the 400th Prakash Parv.
Guru Tegh Bahadur had supported the religious freedom of Kashmiri Pandits. His death anniversary is celebrated every year on 24 November as Martyr’s Day. Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib and Gurdwara Rakab Ganj in Delhi are associated with his sacred sacrifice.
Amit Shah paid tribute
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday paid tribute to Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur. He said that the Guru sacrificed himself to protect the Hindu religion. The Home Minister reached the program at the Red Fort on the 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur.
During this, Shah said – The sacrifice of the Sikh Guru had sown the seeds of India’s independence. Guru Tegh Bahadur sacrificed himself to protect Hinduism. He also saved Kashmiri Pandits from the tyranny of the Mughals.
