38 year old man thrashed former employee, arrested Coimbatore News – Times of India

Coimbatore: A powerloom worker was murdered by his former employer over an earlier enmity on Sunday near Sedapalayam bus stop in Tiruppur district. The police arrested the killer and sent him to judicial custody.
The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old M Balasubramaniam, a resident of Sedapalayam village near Palladam. He was a bachelor.
Police said Balasubramaniam used to work in a powerloom unit run by Sundaramurthy. 38of the same area eight years ago. Balasubramaniam instigated other workers from other states to leave the unit and find work elsewhere. Eight years ago, there was a fight between Sundaramurthy and Balasubramaniam, which culminated in a scuffle with the owner. Sundaramurthy had lodged a complaint with the Palladam police regarding the matter.
Thereafter, Sundaramurthy closed the powerloom unit after incurring heavy losses. He bought a goods autorickshaw and was supplying LPG gas cylinder to the area.
On Sunday morning, a drunk Sundaramurthy found Balasubramaniam at the Sedapalayam bus stop and started a vexing fight. Suddenly in anger, Sundaramurthy attacked Balasubramaniam with a wooden stick.
Balasubramaniam suffered head injuries and was taken to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital, where he received 10 stitches on his forehead.
Based on a complaint by Balasubramaniam’s elder sister Parameshwari, the Palladam police registered a case of attempt to murder and arrested Sundaramurthy on Sunday evening. He was produced before a judicial magistrate and later lodged in the Tiruppur district jail in judicial custody.
Meanwhile, Balasubramaniam died at around 11.30 pm on Sunday night without any response to treatment and the police changed the case to Section 302 of the IPC.
