The doors of Kedarnath Dham, the main Hindu pilgrimage of Uttarakhand, will be opened on 25 April. This time the Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand is starting from 22 April. The doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri will open on April 22 and Badrinath on April 27.

For the first time, the Uttarakhand government had booked for the yatra. So far, a total of 9 lakh 68 thousand 951 people have registered for the yatra. And from February 16, advance booking of more than Rs 7 crore has been done for GMVN Guest House.

The Uttarakhand Tourism Department told that along with trekking, the pilgrims will also be able to reach the temple by helicopter. For this, the Uttarakhand government has tied up with IRCTC.

Health ATM will be on the travel route
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had recently said that Health ATMs will be installed on the Yatra route for health check-up during the Char Dham Yatra. This will help a lot to the devotees. Regarding the increasing cases of Corona, the government has also said that the guidelines of the Center will be strictly implemented.

On April 3, State Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said during the review meeting that if needed, Covid vaccination camps will also be set up at public places including bus stand, railway station and airport.

CM Dhami has fixed April 15 as the deadline for the deployment of doctors, paramedical staff and health facilities on the yatra route.

Joshimath Bachao Sangharsh Samiti warns – Badrinath Yatra will not be allowed on the first day
The Joshimath Bachao Sangharsh Samiti has warned the government even before the commencement of the Chardham Yatra. The committee has demanded the immediate closure of the ongoing NTPC project in Joshimath. If the government does not do so, the committee will block the Badrinath road during the yatra.
