More than 36 women were honored under the third phase Mission Power

Kanpur: About three dozen women who have done excellent work in their respective fields were honored by the District Magistrate and public representatives under the third phase of Mission Shakti program organized at Vikas Bhawan here on Saturday.
The main program was inaugurated by Governor Anandi Ben and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at Indira Gandhi Foundation, Lucknow. CM has also extended best wishes to all the women on the eve of Raksha Bandhan.
Speaking at the program, the Chief Minister said that the government has taken several measures to ensure the safety and empowerment of women in the state. He said that the contribution of women is important in the development of the state and the country.
In the program organized here, Chief Guest, District Panchayat President Swapnil Varun while addressing the women said that women should know their rights and duties and should give good moral values ​​to their family and work equally with men. “Women are moving ahead in the state and the state and central governments have started many programs for them, under which they are getting financial assistance from the birth of a girl child, her education, health and her marriage,” he said.
UP State Commission for Women member Poonam Kapoor said that the state and central governments are running more than 125 different schemes for women. He said that the State Commission for Women is vigilant to protect their rights.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Kanpur South) Raveena Tyagi in her address said that the state government is determined to provide security to women and maintain their dignity. He said women can dial 112 to seek police help in case of domestic violence, insecurity and distress. He said that to protect the interests and rights of women, the state has launched several schemes and issued a list of telephone numbers to seek the help of the police.
