India’s largest UV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to launch the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV in the country on 27th August. Recently unveiled, Mahindra Scorpio-N will be sold alongside the current model which will be renamed as Scorpio Classic, which needs no introduction. The homegrown brand’s butch SUV has a cult following and Mahindra has launched a bunch of teasers highlighting the features, design and engine details of the new-gen avatar of the Scorpio-N. While Mahindra has officially revealed only two color options for the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N, which include Olive Green and Red, the new digital renderings shed light on other possible color options that the SUV could get and it will be available in different colors. The paint schemes will look like this.
As per the digitally generated images by Gadiwadi, the Scorpio-N is shown wearing four new color options, Black, Grey, Silver and White. It gives potential buyers an idea on different color schemes. Only that Mahindra has not officially announced these color options. However, all these paint options are common to the cars sold in India.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N Design
The straight stance of the SUV remains unchanged in the new Scorpio-N variant as well. The all-new model sports a bold face with a high-set bonnet, which is further accentuated by the tight crease. On the top, the Scorpio-N has been styled with a large DLO, and the window line is decorated with a chrome surround. The wheels appear to be 18 inches in diameter. However, the brand has not yet revealed the size. The rear fascia also remains under the wraps, but the X-Mas style tail lamps and an upright boot lid will match well with the overall design.
Overall, the new generation Mahindra Scorpio-N looks more contemporary than the outgoing model. Also, the dimensions are expected to be higher as compared to the outgoing model. For now, we can confirm that the new-gen Scorpio-N will have a clear road presence.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N Cabin
Mahindra has stepped up the ante with the XUV700. Similarly, the Scorpio-N will come with a very long list of features. It is confirmed to be offered with a panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, dynamic-swipe turn indicators, large touchscreen infotainment screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, automatic climate control, connected car features and more. If Mahindra plans to go full blast with the new model, expect the SUV to feature ADAS technology as well.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N Safety
The ladder-frame construction continues to be the preferred choice for the True-Blue SUV enthusiasts. Scorpio is carrying on the legacy of old-fashioned charm with a modern yet butch style. Mahindra claims that in the new-gen avatar, it moves forward with an all-new ladder-frame chassis. Hence, it is safe to expect better results from the new Scorpio-N at the crash test facility.
Two engine options are likely to be offered on the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio-N. A 2.2L oil burner and a 2.0L turbo-petrol motor will be a part of the package. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There will also be an option for a 4×4 drivetrain on the card. However, it can be restricted to the diesel variant only.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N Price
Mahindra Scorpio-N has no rival yet. Nevertheless, potential buyers of models like Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari will keep the Scorpio-N on their list. Coming to the prices, we are expecting the entry-grade petrol trim to start from around Rs 12 lakh, ex-showroom. The price of the range-topper can go up to Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom.
