The judge further noted that the prosecution relied on the statement of a witness who identified Shahid as being part of the riotous mob that attacked the police, but no Identification Parade (TIP) of Shahid was conducted through Chetrapal. was done. “The prosecution has made an allegation against the applicant of snatching the service pistol, based on the presumption that since the revolver was in his possession, therefore, he must have snatched it. During the proceedings, the prosecution opposed the bail plea, alleging that the accused persons killed Lal and tried to kill members of the police team, including DCP Sharma, ACP Kumar and Head Constable Chetrapal, who suffered severe head injuries. Was. The prosecution claimed that Shahid did not cooperate with the probe agency during custodial interrogation and the recovered revolver and cartridges were “looted” from Chetrapal.

So far 25 accused have been arrested in this case, out of which only 17 accused are out on bail.
