18,132 new COVID-19 cases, 193 deaths reported in a single day in India; Recovery rate increased to 88 percent
India on Monday saw a decline in its daily COVID-19 cases, according to daily data from the Union Health Ministry. India recorded 18,132 new Covid cases in 24 hours. Whereas in the last 24 hours, India reported 193 deaths, taking the death toll to 3,39,71,607.
Moreover, the number of active cases has been less than 1% of the total COVID-19 cases since March last year. With 3624 active cases reported in a day, the number of active cases in India stands at 2,27,347 which is 0.67% of the total cases.
2,15,63 are reported to have recovered in the country, taking the number of patients recovering from Kovid infection to 2,15,63. As of Monday morning, India’s recovery rate stood at 98 per cent, the highest since March 2020.
India has given a total of 95,19,84,373 doses in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of doses administered to 46,57,679.
