Rajkot: As many as 12 people under treatment of Covid-19 died in Saurashtra region on Saturday. According to figures provided by the health department, one person died in Rajkot city and two in Rajkot rural. Jamnagar city reported deaths of three persons while one person died in Bhavnagar city, four in Bhavnagar rural.
One death was recorded in Porbandar too. In Rajkot, the number of new positive cases reduced to 137 from 237 on Friday. Total active cases in city were 2,677 after 714 patients were discharged on Saturday. In Jamnagar city, 73 people tested positive while 55 were found infected in Bhavnagar district on Saturday.
