‘1 kick = Rs 1001’: Right wing group reward for killing Vijay Sethupathi

A video of a man kicking Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi and his team at the Bengaluru airport recently went viral on the internet. The actor dismissed the issue as a minor controversy, but soon after the video went viral, Hindu Makkal Katchi, a right-wing group, announced a reward of Rs 1001 for anyone who kicked Vijay Sethupathi.

The Hindu Makkal Katchi made the announcement on its official Twitter handle, writing: “Arjun Sampath announces cash prize to actor Vijay Sethupathi for insulting Thevar Aiyya. 1 kick = Rs 1001/- Whoever kicks him, unless he apologizes.”

According to the reports, Arjun Sampath has confirmed to the media to give a cash reward of Rs 1001 to the one who kicked Vijay Sethupathi. Sampath said, ‘I have announced to give 1001 rupees for every kick.

The leader of the right-wing group said that the person who kicked Vijay Sethupathi in the video is Maha Gandhi. “After knowing why Maha Gandhi kicked Vijay Sethupathi and crew, I announced a cash reward for kicking the actor.”

Sampath said that Maha Gandhi wanted to wish Vijay Sethupathi to receive the National Award, but the actor sarcastically replied to him, “This is not a nation.”

“Maha Gandhi ignored this and invited Vijay Sethupathi to attend the Pampone Muthuramaling Thevar puja, but in return the actor said that the only god in the world is Jesus. Gandhi got angry because the actor insulted our country and Pasumpon,” said Sampath.

Sampath said that after knowing the reasons for the quarrel, he announced a cash reward for kicking Vijay Sethupathi.

Vijay Sethupathi is a well known face of Tamil film industry. He has played hero, anti-hero and character roles in various south films.
