In Himachal Pradesh, an FIR has been registered under sections of murder for killing a pet bitch. In Paonta Sahib of District Sirmaur, the owner has given a complaint to the police accusing the servant of killing the bitch.
Arun Goyal, resident of Shamsherpur, Paonta Sahib, District Sirmaur, in a complaint given at Police Station Paonta Sahib, told that on November 24, he had gone out with his family. At around 8 o’clock in the night, the servant Lalit told on the phone that the bitch was lying dead in the kitchen.
When he came home around 1 o’clock in the night, he saw that the bitch was lying dead in the kitchen. Blood was splattered around his head. Knowing that he died naturally, he was buried in the ground in front of Walia Pump on 25th November.
CCTV footage revealed the case
Arun told that today it was seen in the CCTV footage that the servant Badri Dutt resident of village Muani, district Pithoragarh picked up the bitch in anger and took her to the kitchen while beating her. After about 1 minute, he closed the door and went out.
Arun told that he gave the complaint along with the CCTV footage to the police. Police have booked the servant under 429 IPC and Section 11 Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960. DSP Rama Kant Thakur told that the case has been registered.
