About 20 crores spent for the project
Chamunda Mataji Temple Chotila has 655 steps. More than 25 lakh devotees visit this temple every year. On Navratri and other festivals, the number of devotees is so much that there is less space on the stairs. At the same time, it is difficult for helpless and elderly people to reach the temple through stairs. Because of this, the Gujarat government had approved the rope-way project. The project is likely to cost around Rs 20 crore.
