In Haryana’s Gurugram, a person called IAS officer Anita Yadav and demanded Rs 5 crore. Along with this, the person also said that he would give him a clean chit in the investigation of the scam worth crores of rupees. On the complaint of the IAS officer, a case of extortion has been registered against the caller at Gurugram’s Sector-50 police station.
IAS Anita Yadav, who lives in Gurugram, told that she received a call on 3 March. The caller introduced himself as Rishi and said that Rs 5 crore would have to be paid to get his name out of the scam. Again on March 4, the same person called and said that a politician had given instructions to contact you.
Threatened of consequences for non-payment
Anita Yadav said that the caller threatened that if you do not pay, the consequences will be for you only. The IAS told that they have recorded both the calls. They have audio. The IAS has demanded that the safety of his family be ensured.
Crores of rupees scam happened in Faridabad
Let us tell you that some time ago a scam of about 100 crore rupees was exposed in Faridabad Gurugram Municipal Corporation. The issue of releasing crores of rupees to a single contractor without any work had come to the fore. The role of many officers was also revealed in this. The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) is probing the matter. Some officials of the Municipal Corporation have also been arrested.
IAS Anita Yadav has been the commissioner of Faridabad Municipal Corporation. Last week itself, the Haryana government had given permission to the Anti-Corruption Bureau to interrogate 7 officers, including 2 women IAS officers, a week earlier. The name of IAS Anita Yadav is also included in this.
