Sarva Samaj Panchayat will be held today in Mundlana village of Sonipat, Haryana regarding the ongoing dispute between wrestlers and former President of Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan. Wrestlers, former governor Satyapal Malik and other people will reach the panchayat being held on the call of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chadhuni) President Gurnam Singh Chadhuni. On the other hand, Khap has already given an ultimatum to the government till June 9 to arrest Brij Bhushan.

Earlier yesterday, Haryana CM Manohar Lal was asked a question related to the ultimatum of Khap Panchayats in favor of wrestlers who accused Brij Bhushan Singh of sexual exploitation during his visit to Karnal. Manohar said – This matter has been going on for a long time. The central government is looking into it. Surely some solution must be found in this. We tried our best.

Talks were held with some people, but minor shortcomings remain at the time of decision making. After this some organizations stood up and the decision kept happening. I request the Khap Panchayats to come forward and cooperate in resolving the matter so that the real dispute can be decided.

Delhi Police got 4 witnesses
The difficulties of former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, surrounded by allegations of sexual abuse, may increase. Delhi Police has found 4 witnesses in this case, who have confirmed the allegations against Brij Bhushan. These include one Olympian, Commonwealth Gold Medalist, International Referee and State Level Coach.

All of them are among the 125 witnesses who have been included in this case. Delhi Police is probing it in the four states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Karnataka where the allegations are made. According to sources, the witnesses corroborating the allegations are Olympian and Commonwealth gold medallist, both female wrestlers. He told the Delhi Police investigation team that Brij Bhushan’s sexual harassment was told to him by women wrestlers who filed a case a month after the incident.

The coach of one of the women wrestlers, who was among the complainants, told the SIT of Delhi Police that she was informed over the phone six hours after the incident about Brij Bhushan asking for sexual favours. International referees said that when they used to go to India or abroad for tournaments, they used to hear about this problem from women wrestlers.

Center does not agree to arrest
According to sources, the Center is ready to accept the five demands of the wrestlers. These include women’s wrestling camp from Lucknow to Patiala, removal of the accused coach, suspension of WFI, withdrawal of riot cases filed against wrestlers and handing over the command of women’s wrestling to a woman.

However, the government is not agreeable to the condition of Brijbhushan’s arrest and complete ouster from the Federation. The government says that the wrestlers can get the investigation done by any agency, but they cannot directly order the arrest of Brij Bhushan. The condition of the government for conducting the hearing of the case in the fast track court is that the wrestlers leave the strike and return to the game.

2 FIRs surfaced against Brij Bhushan
Two FIRs lodged by Delhi Police against Brij Bhushan have come to the fore. In an FIR, the minor wrestler alleged that Brij Bhushan forcibly held him in his arms on the pretext of clicking photographs. Brij Bhushan said that you support me and I will support you. Then by calling her in the room forcibly tried to make physical relation. When she did not agree, he harassed her in the trial.

In the second FIR, 6 adult wrestlers filed a complaint. In which Brijbhushan was accused of forcibly arresting him. Took off his T-shirt on the pretext of checking his breath. Touched his chest and stomach. Asked for sexual favors on the pretext of getting the injury treated. If any wrestler expressed his opposition, he was threatened that he would not play further competitions. A wrestler was called into the room and asked to lie down on the bed.
