Assam Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma has given clarification on comparing Rahul Gandhi’s beard with Saddam Hussain, the dictator of Iraq. Sarma said- I did not say anything about Rahul Gandhi’s look. I just said that if you are made to sit with Saddam right now, you will feel the same. But if you shave off your beard, you will look like Nehru.

Sarma said that the people of Congress are themselves making the comment of Saddam Hussain viral in order to troll me.

Growing beard will not bring maturity
He further said, ‘I jokingly told Rahul Gandhi that his face is becoming like Saddam Hussain. The people of Congress have become angry on this. What is the point of getting angry in this. Rahul Gandhi thinks that growing a beard will bring maturity in him, it cannot be. It is not something that comes automatically.

Along with this, Sarma also gave advice to the Congress leaders. He said, ‘Congressmen should remember what they had said about the Prime Minister and what they had dared to say. After that give me the knowledge that what is right to speak and what is not right to speak.

Rahul Gandhi is currently in Indore with the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He also participated in the Narmada Aarti.

Sarma’s statement came 6 days ago
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, engaged in election campaign in Gujarat, is in headlines these days for his statements. Last week, he took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi’s look at a rally in Ahmedabad. Sarma said – The look of a Congress leader has changed, after which he has started looking like Saddam Hussain.

After this he said that ‘I saw in an interview a few days ago that Rahul Gandhi does not have any problem with the new look’. After which Himanta Biswa Sarma advised Rahul that if you want to change your look, at least make it like Vallabhbhai Patel or Jawaharlal Nehru. Even better if you look like Gandhiji, but why do you look like Saddam Hussain now?
