Differences are being seen between NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray regarding the midterm elections. Former CM Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday asked party workers to be prepared for the mid-term elections to the assembly in Maharashtra. At the same time, Sharad Pawar on Friday ruled out the possibilities of holding mid-term elections in the state.

Pawar said that he does not see any reason for holding mid-term elections, but we have to see under what circumstances Thackeray has given this statement.

Uddhav had asked to be ready for the election in the video message
Uddhav Thackeray had asked party workers and voters of Pimpri and Kasba to be prepared for the bypolls in a video message on Thursday. The former CM said that we should wait for the pending case before the Supreme Court. If the petition filed to disqualify the group of MLAs who left the party (Uddhav faction) is accepted, then the possibility of mid-term elections cannot be ruled out.

NCP chief targeted Devendra Fadnavis
Sharad Pawar has termed his statement on the swearing-in of Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar on 23 November 2019 as accidental. The NCP chief said that if this had happened, there was no scope for revocation of President’s rule in the state and Thackeray would never have become the chief minister. Actually, Deputy CM Fadnavis had claimed a week ago that Sharad Pawar knew that Ajit Pawar was also taking oath as Deputy CM along with Fadnavis.

Let us tell you that the Election Commission had recently given the Shiv Sena name and party symbol to the Shinde faction. The Uddhav faction did not get relief even in the Supreme Court on this decision of the Election Commission. At the same time, Sharad Pawar is continuously advising Uddhav to move forward after losing the name and symbol of the party. After the commission’s decision, Sharad had advised Thackeray to go ahead with it. He said that the people of the state remember you by your face and work.
