Police rescued 60 minor children at Bhusaval and Manmad railway stations in Maharashtra on Tuesday night. They were being taken from Bihar to Sangli in Maharashtra and madrassas in Pune. Police said that the age of all the children is between 5-15 years. Five people who were bringing them here have been arrested.

The matter came to light after the complaint of a passenger in the train
Police said that the children were made to sit in the Danapur Express from Bihar. Along with them, 5 other people were also present in the train, who were bringing them to Pune. On reaching the children’s reserved compartment, a passenger tweeted and informed the railway police. The passenger told the railway police that there were some children in the train compartment. Those who are looking hungry and thirsty. Please help them.

After getting the information, Railway Police checked the train at Bhusaval Railway Station. 29 children were taken off the train on the spot. Police has also arrested 1 Maulvi along with them. After this, when the railway police checked the train again at Manmad railway station, 31 other minor children were found. The police also took them out of the train safely. Four other people traveling with these children have also been arrested.

The children were sent to Jalgaon and Nashik juvenile homes.
Police said that a case has been registered against 5 people on charges of child trafficking. The consent letter of the parents has not been received from them to take the children. 29 children rescued at Bhusaval Railway Station have been sent to Jalgaon Child Improvement Home. At the same time, 31 other children have been sent to Nashik’s Child Improvement Home. All the arrested accused are being interrogated.
