On 3 March 2023, Noida police arrested Atul Rawat, Tuhin Bhattacharya and Mool Singh and sent them to jail.

Diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol chemicals were being added to the cough syrup DOK-1 MAX of Noida’s Marion Biotech Company. This chemical is banned in many countries including India. It is used to make syrup strong and tasty. This report has been revealed in the report of the sample of syrup that came from the Chandigarh lab. 22 samples of syrup have failed in different tests.

This is the same cough syrup that the Uzbekistan government blamed for the deaths of 18 children. Only after this the Government of India became active in this matter. Samples of syrup were taken and sent for testing. By mixing diethylene/ethylene glycol, it does not feel bitter after drinking it. However, the high concentration of the chemical makes it a slow death item.

Preparing to cancel the license of the company, 3 arrested
Now the countries where this syrup has been supplied are being called back. At the same time, preparations are being made to cancel the license of the company. Three officers of the company have been sent to jail in the case. While top level officers are absconding.

Now let us explain this matter to you layer by layer from the beginning…
