The cruise has traveled to 5 states of India UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam and Bangladesh.

The journey of MV Ganga Vilas Cruise, which started from Ramnagar port of Varanasi, reached Dibrugarh in Assam via Bangladesh on Tuesday on the 50th day. The cruise has traveled 3,200 kms. This has created a record for the world’s longest river cruise journey. Union Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal welcomed the cruise and tourists.

During the visit, the tourists got to see, know and understand the art, culture, history and spirituality of different states of India and Bangladesh. Let us inform that on January 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had flagged off the yatra. This cruise has luxury facilities like 5 star hotels, 32 foreign tourist traveled in this river cruise. According to the fixed program, it was to reach Hibrugarh on March 1 but reached the destination a day earlier.

Cruise passed through 5 states of India and Bangladesh
The cruise has traveled to 5 states of India UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam and Bangladesh. The cruise passed through 50 major tourist destinations including Varanasi, Patna, Kolkata, Dhaka, Guwahati, Dibrugarh.

During this, the yatris crossed 27 rivers like Ganga, Bhagirathi, Hooghly, Vidyavati, Matla, Sunderban River Systems-5, Meghna, Padma, Jamuna and Brahmaputra.

A ceremony was organized on the arrival of MV Ganga Vilas at Dibrugarh.  In which many leaders and officials including government minister Sarbananda Sonowal were present.

Cruise has facilities like 18 suites, restaurant, bar
The cruise has 18 suites and facilities like restaurant, bar, spa, sundeck, gym and lounge with hi-tech facilities. Its 40-seat restaurant on the main deck has buffet counters with continental and Indian food.

The upper deck’s outdoor seating features a bar with steamer chairs and coffee tables. There are also bathrooms with bathtubs, convertible beds, French balconies, LED TVs, safes, smoke alarms, life vests and sprinklers.

The fare for one person to travel is Rs 19 lakh.  The rent of the suite is 38 lakhs.  This rate can increase or decrease according to the space.

Cruise speed 12 to 20 kmph
The speed of Ganga Vilas is 12 to 20 kilometers per hour. The cruise has an RO system for drinking water along with a sewage treatment plant. The cruise has all the necessary facilities for the convenience and needs of the people.
