Grandfather-grandson died in a heart-wrenching road accident in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. In fact, a scooty got hit by a speeding dumper on the Kanpur Sagar Highway on Saturday. During this, the old man died on the spot, but the 6-year-old grandson got trapped along with the scooty in the front part of the dumper. The driver of the dumper dragged the child and the scooty for 2 kms.
During the incident, the people around chased the dumper on the bike and kept shouting to stop, but the driver did not stop. During this, the speed of the dumper was so high that sparks were coming out of the road. A video of the incident has surfaced.
6-year-old Satvik and his grandfather Udit Narayan died in the accident. The police collected the pieces of the child’s body and sent it for postmortem.
Retired teacher went out to visit grandson
It is being told that Udit Narayan (67 years), a retired teacher living near Hamirpur Chungi, had gone out to take his 6-year-old grandson Satvik’s son Neeraj on a scooty. Then the speeding dumper going from Mahoba towards Kabrai hit the scooty.
Udit Narayan died in the accident. While grandson Satvik along with Scooty got trapped under the dumper. It dragged on for about 2 kms. By the time people chased and stopped the truck, Satwik’s body was torn to pieces.
The unknown driver kept running the vehicle on the road with the scooty stuck under the dumper.
The truck stopped after shouting and pelting stones
At the time of the accident, people tried hard to stop the truck but he kept ignoring it. During this people threw stones at the truck, after which the driver stopped the truck and got down and started running in the fields. People chased him for about 500 meters, caught him and beat him fiercely. After this he was handed over to the police.
Police reached the spot and sent the dead bodies for PM.
The driver said – Scooty and the child were not detected
It is being told that the truck driver did not stop the vehicle due to fear after the accident. The fear of beating at the hands of the public was troubling him. He told that when the truck stopped after shouting and pelting stones, he came to know about the innocent being trapped along with the scooty.
Police has sent both the bodies for postmortem.
Driver is a resident of Kanpur
After getting the information of the accident, SDM Sadar Jitendra Kumar, CO City Rampravesh Rai along with city Kotwali police reached the spot. The dead bodies of both were sent for postmortem. The driver has been identified as Ram Bahadur Police Station Village Sandauli Police Station Saar District Kanpur Nagar.
Mother said – Baba’s beloved son was
It is said that Satvik was a student of Class KG in a private school in the city. Satwik’s mother Ruchi is a government teacher, while father Neeraj is a pharmacist at Global Hospital. After the death of Satvik, the parents are in bad condition by crying. Ruchi told that his father loved Satvik very much. He often took her for walks after school. Had gone out for a walk with Satvik Baba on Saturday also.
