Indian Railways keeps on making various changes keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. Meanwhile, Railways has launched the WhatsApp food delivery system. Means passengers will now be able to order food on WhatsApp only. For this, the passenger will have to use his PNR number.

According to the Ministry of Railways, Indian Railways has taken this initiative to make e-catering service more beneficial for its customers. Business WhatsApp number has been started for this. Passengers can order food on 8750001323.

Explain that the PSU of Indian Railways, IRCTC has specially created a website for this. Railways has started e-catering services through www.ecatering.irctc.co.in as well as through its e-catering app Food on Track.

Railways plans two phases for e-catering services
Indian Railways has initially planned a two-phase plan for e-catering services through WhatsApp communication. In the first phase, a message will be sent to the customer’s number through which the e-ticket has been booked. In this message, a link www.ecatering.irctc.co.in will be sent to them, by clicking on which the passenger will be able to choose the e-catering service. With this option, passengers will be able to order food from their favorite restaurants at stations. For this, passengers will not need to communicate by downloading a separate app.

Customer will also be able to answer questions in the second phase
In the second phase of the services, the WhatsApp customer will be able to answer questions regarding the e-catering service and order food through AI Power chat. Initially, WhatsApp has been started for such e-catering services in select trains only. Later, based on customer feedback and suggestions, Railways will enable it in other trains as well.
