Sisodia accused of conspiring with others
During investigation, it has been revealed that Sisodia is accused of conspiring with others to frame a faulty excise policy. The ED also claimed in the court that Sisodia destroyed his phone, which is a crucial piece of evidence in the probe.

The ED’s counsel alleged that Sisodia made false statements about the excise scam and the agency wanted to find out the modus operandi of the accused and confront them with other accused.

On the instructions of Satyendar Jain, he himself was locked in this ‘VVIP’ cell.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is lodged in Delhi’s Mandoli Jail in a cheating case, has written a letter to Delhi’s LG VK Saxena alleging that the jail authorities have kept Sisodia, arrested in the excise scam, in a ‘VIP’ cell against the rules.

In a new letter to the LG, Sukesh has claimed that Manish Sisodia, arrested in the excise scam, has been kept in the ‘VIP’ cell of Tihar Jail. Sukesh says that this ward has wooden floors among other facilities. Such facilities have so far been given only to high profile prisoners.

Sukesh accused Kejriwal of making a false story
Sukesh Chandrasekhar has also accused CM Arvind Kejriwal and AAP of spreading false stories about Sisodia’s imprisonment with gangsters and threats to his life. Sukesh has alleged in the letter that Sisodia is lodged in Ward No. 9 of Jail-1, which is the VVIP cell of Tihar Jail.

This is a special ward for high profile VIP prisoners which is about 20 thousand square feet. According to Sukesh only 5 cells are present in the special ward. Sukesh says that the ward where Sisodia is kept has all the facilities. It includes a special big garden to roam around, a special badminton court and food area.

Many high profile people have been imprisoned in this ward.
VIP inmates like Subrata Roy, Kalmadi, Amar Singh, A Raja of Sahara Group and recently Sanjay Chandra of Unitech have lived in this ward. Sukesh has said in a letter to LG that on the instructions of Satyendar Jain, I myself was locked in this ‘VIP’ cell in 2017/2018. Sukesh has written that in the service of Sisodia, the jail authorities have kept some old prisoners and servicemen.

These prisoners are not serious criminals. Recently, AAP had expressed concern over the security of Sisodia in Tihar Jail. The AAP had alleged that Sisodia was being kept with dreaded criminals. AAP MP Sanjay Singh has alleged that Sisodia has been denied access to the Vipassana cell in the jail.
