A woman gave birth to a baby inside the toilet of her house in Kasba area of ​​Kolkata and threw it out by breaking the window of the toilet. A day later, the newborn died during treatment.

The woman, identified by the police as Nicola Stanislaus, had gone to the toilet around 4.30 pm on Saturday. Then people around the house heard the sound of glass breaking. When they came out of their houses, they saw that the woman had broken the window of the toilet and thrown something out which got stuck in the drain. When people reached there, they found a newborn baby in the drain.

The local people informed the police about the incident. Then a team of Kasba police station reached the spot and admitted the blood-soaked woman and her newborn baby to a private hospital. The child’s condition remained critical and he died on Sunday morning.

When the police interrogated the woman regarding this whole incident, a surprising thing came to the fore. Nicola said she didn’t know she was pregnant. Actually, Nicola’s husband Andy Stanislas and family members also had no idea about Nicola’s pregnancy. Nicola says that she went to the washroom for toilet on Saturday afternoon when she gave birth to a son. She had no idea of ​​pregnancy, so she got scared after giving birth to the child and broke the window and threw the newborn out.

This couple is married
According to the police, Nicola and her husband were in a live-in relationship since June 2022 and they got married in November 2022. Nicola is a housewife, while the husband works for an event management company. Police said that Nikola was mentally ill and spoke very little for the last two-three months. However, the police told about both Nicola and her husband that they used to drink a lot.
